BLACKOUT - LIVE DRUM & BASS

Blackout is a collaboration of musicians, Dj's, producers, vocalists, lyricists and a Vj. Based in Bristol, the current group have been working together since 2005.

The music they produce is live and original drum & bass, drawing on individual influences from funk, reggae, dub, hip-hop and techno. Unlike most forms of drum & bass, Blackout create their music from live instruments-real drums, bass, guitar, sax and synthesizers, not using any drum loops or sequencers. Their style varies from dark,heavy drum & bass, to more funky soulful vibes, seamlessly switching down tempo funk breaks into their set, adding diversity and also appealing to those outside of drum & bass.
